The LHASA program suite is a sophisticated expert system that has been under development at Harvard since 1969. Research efforts in our group are directed towards technological refinement and expansion of program functionality. The field of CAOS is ever changing and, despite the long history of the project, there are many avenues of research left to explore.

Active projects draw on the expertise of the current members of the group, as well as needs and interests of the industrial and academic chemistry communities. The list of projects below is therefore updated frequently. We are open to suggestions for collaboration as well.

•  Improvements to starting-material-oriented retrosynthetic analysis
•  Automation of retrosynthetic strategy selection
•  Pre- and post-evaluation of retrosynthetic routes
•  Implementation of Java-based graphical user interface
•  High-throughput screening of biological activity of chemical compounds
